Reverb problem w/ Ampeg GV-22 Please help!!

Hi Guy's, I picked up a 70's Ampeg GV-22, works great except the reverb is not working. Here's what I found.. The Tank had 2 busted wires coming off one transducer, soldered them back in place, I get 170 ohms across each side (input and output) does that sound right??? I can here the springs through...

Re: Wreck amp clips

They all were in the center (off) ..on these demos. Would have been nice to hear him go through the differnet positions.

Re: An hour with JH, who else?

Yeah tuning gets a little rough, but that is the shit, the real deal right there. Yeah, But if you watch, He walks out on stage with his guitar, and the first thing he does is push the bar down to the body..... Pretty much insuring a tuning nightmare......But that's just how they rolled the...

Re: I'm giving up on noiseless single coils.

I'm pretty sure I have tried them all. The latest were Dimarzio Area pickups. They sound really close, but they don't "feel" close. There is just something compressed that a real single coil doesn't have. Guess my next experiment will be the BPSSC. If that doesn't work, maybe a dummy coil. Damn mod...

Re: New Build 5F1 DOA - Any help appreciated!

I would check your grounds again, make sure they are in the right places as well. I know that sounds odd, but some of those Tweed circuits like to be grounded where they are in the schematic/layout. Check your lead dress, look at a picture of a tweed champ, see how Fender ran the wires, any extra sh...

Re: Let me start this by saying I am a fan of Relics, BUT.......

My .02 on this, That guitar at 20 or 30 years wouldn't have that kind of wear through the finnish on the face of the guitar. It's to far down and dosen't match the back where the belt buckle marks are.....I like the relics :D But if you take the time to look through some pictures you will find most ...

Re: Any ideas on wet/dry/wet set-up? Oddessey, Dumblelator II?

ER, depends on what this rig is going to be used for ie: regular gig rig, studio/recording....Home use.... The quick way would be to use the loop in your amp. What I did was, install a line out with level control, out to a single rack mount processor. out of that to a stereo power amp. The amp runs ...
