Allyn, that explains a lot. It's just a little tweak Ken used to bring an amp back from the abyss of instability  Thanks again for the enlightenment :!:

Re: New Liverpool Done!

Finally got to finish my Liverpool... Allyn, I find a resistor between the wiper of the volume pot and the grid of the second 1/2 12 AX7 on Mark Abbott's L'pool preamp schematic. He labels it Rgs. On your pics I see a blue wire from the volume pot wiper to pin 2 on V1. Did you put a resistor perhap...

Re: celestion neodymium

i was wondering if anyone tried the celestion neodymium speakers. I bought 2 G12 Century's a few years ago for a guitar cab. They are noticeably louder, with a Spec of 102 dB. They are quite heavy on the treble. I felt 2 together was too much high end. Using one with a Celestion K12T200 gave a more...

...darn shirt. That's funny :!: Yes, I do seem to remember you had a shirt ON (You Tube is probably a "No shirt, no shoes, no service" kind of place), but if you had asked me what your shirt looked like in that video, I would be at a loss  I DO, however, remember a TrainWreck amplifier. I thin...

Re: Francesca Heater Supply resistors

Thanks for the information. These resistors weren't on any schematic obviously. Virtual center tap was the only explanation I could think of.

Francesca Heater Supply resistors

Regarding the 2 resistors (100R, I believe) at the termination of the heater supply in the Francesca pics: Are these present to create a virtual center tap in the absence of a real center tap on the PT heater supply :?: Could they be placed anywhere along the heater circuit :?:

Thanks :!:

I think they are about 0.25" thick That's what it looked like in the pic's. Looks like piano hinge between panels. Re: The End of 18Watt.com

Ok folks. Let's get real here. Graydon, Gabi, Mark H., and the rest of the mods put their hard work, $$$, and time into hosting the 18watt.com site and put up with a lot of BS they should not have encountered. It really is their option to do whatever they want with that site, because they are carry...

Re: The End of 18Watt.com

I would assume even the THREAT of legal action would far outweigh the EVJr issue. Legal threats can obviously dissuade people for standing up for their own rights. It certainly has over-ridden the right to free expression of opinion on 18watt.com :!: When threatened like that, I have a tendency to s...
