It's possible that the coax got overheated and there's some melting compromise of the conductors.

The Reason Bambino is a 7 pin AB I believe. I like it a lot...I think Obeid said that he meant it to be a Strat amp. Try one out if you ever get the chance.

Something is dying. It could be as simple as a cold solder joint or a bad filter cap in the power supply. Mercury Magnetics are also quite firm that their Haddon transformer is a great Vox output transformer.
