i've seen some of his videos too,where he opens some heads to see the internals and describe them.
He sounds like a distributor/sales guy.

Its probably 12ax7 first stage and cathodyne,12au7 as buffer/amplifier to the power tubes control grids.

it also depends on OT,those pro were wimpy iirc.
285v plates at max power sounds like that,not to mention filtering,old and low value caps don't help.

What are the voltages on the grid pins (2 and 7) of the first two tubes? Notice that the anode voltages on the tubes you labeled V1, V2, and V3 are all just 1 volt lower than the supply voltage at D.
