Re: Your Amp name badges (Bad Idea?)
The way my lawyer explained it to me... If you look like a sole proprietor and act like a sole proprietor...when it comes to liability issues, you pretty much are a sole proprietor regardless of your registered entity. (If it looks like a duck and quacks like...). He also told me years ago (and now...

Re: Your Amp name badges (Bad Idea?)
-*- Maybe -*- a solution would be to include in your conditions some mention such as the buyer claims that he does master the use of tube amps, that he perfectlys knows how dangerous an amp can be/the safety rules, etc, that he will be the sole responsible for any disasters and that he "declines hi...

Re: Your Amp name badges (Bad Idea?)
This is why it is often best to create an LLC, Limited Liability Company. Any legal action isn't against you, but your company. They can win a lawsuit, and you'd have to sell whatever was part of said company to pay for the legal costs, but it would end there, they couldn't make you sell your perso...

That's a basic Brownnote D'lite, Norm's was different. IIRC, Norm's ODS version was a quad 6v6 version with reverb.Guitarman18 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 26, 2017 4:20 pm I believe this is Normster's original 6V6 ODS layout. I hope he doesn't mind me posting.

Re: New Build: Ceriatone Replica OTS 50W
The pre-populated boards I received from Marsh Amps are for the ODS 70s Skyliner. Does that relate to a particular ODS model#? I think you mean 80's Skyliner as a base line voicing. I personally equate 70's topology as a minimal; 100K plates, the funky OD network, classic tone stack and the Fender ...

Re: 183 heater current concerns - experience with heyboer?
I've read many threads and I know that there are many 183 builds out there. It seems that many of been concerned over the current draw for the heaters since this build uses EL34s and really calls for 6.9 A on the heaters. Have most people been successful using standard twin iron? I know by reviewin...

Re: 6G6 b+ voltage & 5881 tubes
Your confusing me with your terms,( B+ =HT ?), the 6,000 to 12,000v supply line that runs through my backyard before the step-down transformer isn't considered high tension around here, just post substation supply line, this is what WE call High Tension 138kv to 780kv In the context of low voltage t...

Re: New Build: Ceriatone Replica OTS 50W
It looks like Ceriatone solders the resistors vertically to the sockets and connects the pairs with short lengths of wire. https://www.flickr.com/photos/137947485@N03/29498659934/in/album-72157674765451275/ that's how I've always done it, however I've never thought of it as being particularly rugge...

Re: 6G6 b+ voltage & 5881 tubes
Something caused my 6L6gcs to spike up to 42w plate dissipation, dragging my b+ down to 415v and then go back to normal after the amp cooled back down and still stay normal after warming back up & being played through for about a half hour, all I can think of is component drift due to excessive hea...
