Re: Reference for the Carlton/Ford tone?!
I would add Larry Carlton's "Sapphire Blue". My ODS clone, Hybrid A/1997 PS with 100 watt Plexi OT, absolutely nails the tone on that one. Just love the 'Sapphire Blue' tone (and playing too :D ). Unfortunately my amp still doesn't come as close... Any tips? 'Last Nite' is in my opinion a highlight...

ODS List of components and tweaks, what do you think?
Hi, y'all. Newbie here, no builds yet but planning on modding/adjusting my amp built locally. HUGE lurker around here  . Anyway, thanks a lot for all info you shared, especially dogears. It's really nice and generous and a whole lotta of fun... Spent the last week gathering all info and tips I...

Re: What gauge of wire do you guys use?
I'll keep watching as I always wondered about that too .dehughes wrote:Also, should I purchase stranded or solid core wire? I've yet to hear anything definitive as to why one would use/prefer one over the other.

Re: "Speakers for a Dumble" Thread
I don't have any experience trying different speakers with my ODS HRM 2x12" combo built by a local tech. I'm using Eminence's Cannabis Rex and a Private Jack. I really like these combination. Full midrange, deep bass response (although not very tight and defined). Only drawback is a bit of way too l...

Re: Relay or mechanical DPDT
Thanks, guys. Yes, Normster. Thanks a lot. I haven't even considered the footswitch  (how dumb am I, huh?). When I traced the amp I just ignored all footswitch wiring and forgot all about it  . The three switches mentioned are the ones that can be activated from the footswitch too... Tha...

Relay or mechanical DPDT
Hi, everyone! Thanks for this space. It's only my second post but I already spent quite a while reading through those pages (and learning a LOT by the way). I got a ODS based amplifier from a local tech. Scott and Gary already gave me real nice pointers on how to make it sound better and I'm yet to ...
