Re: Favorite tremolo circuit
The best reverb I ever heard was a Brown Deluxe as well. But I think there is more than one Brown Deluxe circuit if I remember correctly. David, is yours a 6G3. The Concert amp circuit seems a little overkill! I will probably try the Tremolux circuit first. Thanks

Re: 6V6 HRM
What is the resistor at the negative end of the first two filter caps?
Edit: Nevermind I see that those caps are in series now.

Re: oddysey ppre-amp scizo rough drawing
That looks right to me except you omitted the (.1?) coupling caps between the 12K plate resistors and bias mix resistors.groovtubin wrote:should be close!

Re: Odyssey Power Amp...
Looks to me like it's driving the power tubes off the plate, not the cathode, of the driver tube.

Re: Flabby Bruno
OK, I just noticed the 5F6a circuit uses a12AY7 in V1. This amp has a 12AX7.
I don't have an AY but substituted an AT and that helped a lot. What do you
tweed Bassman guys usually run in V1?

Thanks, thats the first thing I ruled out before doing the recap however.vibratoking wrote:Just a sanity check. Are you sure it's not the speaker? I have cured lot's of flabby bass by replacing poor speakers.

Re: Flabby Bruno
This is without even using the OD stage. You have to turn the bass pot all the way down, even then it seems flabby.

Flabby Bruno
A friend of mine brought me his Bruno "Tweedy Pie" by for me to look at. It appears to be a Tweed Bassman circuit with a footswitchable added gain stage. It has a real flabby bass on the low E string. I thought maybe it just needed a recap, did that, but no help. Anyone have any experience with thes...

Re: Texas blues sound clip
Thanks, I really have to give Mo most of the credit.
He does a great job of squeezing the tone out of the amp.
