Re: I'm thinking about buying a modeling pedalboard.

Curious, do people using the Kemper/modeling amps plug them into a tube power amp on stage, or just feed them into the PA and monitors? Is it redundant to use a tube power amp/speaker since it models the complete amp including the PA and speaker cab? My plan is to run it through one of these: https...

Re: I'm thinking about buying a modeling pedalboard.

I love my kemper but didn't buy the footpedal option with it, and now I'm beating myself up because I could have waited and for the same price had both :D It is the closest to tube sound I've ever heard. I've profiled many of my builds and love how they sound. ~Phil I didn't realize it was an optio...

Interesting. I hadn't seen that.

EDIT: That rotary preset might have just sold me. My poor wallet.

I'm thinking about buying a modeling pedalboard.

I love my tube amps, but I'm a lazy old man that's thinking about gigging with one of the following; Line6 Helix, Boss GT-1000, or a Headrush Pedalboard. Any of you using those? The Line6 is lowest on the list because I owned a Line6 POD and absolutely hated it. Most of the models were a joke. The G...

Re: BB's last 35 years...

I saw BB King around 1973. I was 14. It was pretty close to what I heard on Live At The Regal. He was smoking. Took my daughter to see him when she was 14, about years ago, and he was a shell of his former self. My daughter was still impressed, but you can't help but lose it as you get older. I turn...

Pisound and MODep. Wow

I've been playing with Raspberry Pi's for a bit, and came across Pisound which adds high quality Stereo In/Out, as well as MIDI in/out. The coolest part is you can run MODEP , which let's you build effects chains in your browser. It's a lot cheaper solution than the original MOD Duo . This has been ...

They've recently announced that they will presolder those free on request.

I'm interested in building some of the things based on the FV-1. I'd eventually like to do some programing. I really like the Kaleidoscope Delay/ BuGGFX Daydream.

Re: I'm back after a hellish three years.

How's that guitar-playin' daughter? She's not been sticking with it. She's still really into music and has become quite the music historian, especially Americana and roots rock. She's living in the cabin here at Belly Acres, but she's in the process of looking for an apartment in LA. She dropped ev...

Has anyone ordered from pedalpcb.com?

I just came across this site and they have a lot of interesting circuits. But they don't list a BOM for the circuitboards. Just wondering if anyone has experience with them.

The Golden Spur, student lounge, University of South Carolina. Back when the drinking age was 18 and they had $1.80 pitchers. We did a bunch of sixties stuff. It was very improvisational. Did a medley of Purple Haze and Third Stone from the Sun, where in the freakout ending I threw in the Close Enco...

My latest acquisition. Got a left-handed Bigsby B6 ready to install, but I think I'm going to let a experienced luthier do it.

Re: I'm back after a hellish three years.

Life is good, but not always kind. I'm sorry to hear of your challenges and losses. I think it is BS that time heals, but personal experience tells me the sting will fade over time. It's great to see you back here. I like short ribs, too ;-} That was my first time smoking them then braising. They t...

Re: I'm back after a hellish three years.

Yeah, my father-in-law used to have big parties and hire local bands to come out and play. There's also a thirty by ten projection screen on the stage for showing movies. He was a man that loved to entertain.
