Re: I'm back after a hellish three years.

Hate I missed the first get together. But definitely. We have a couple of camp sites already built by my father-in-law. It's a magical place.

I'm back after a hellish three years.

I haven't been around for some time. My family and I have been through the ringer the last three years. In March of 2016, my wife and I had to fly back to South Carolina, because her father's health was failing and he was in hospice care. He was on dialysis and had been taken off the list waiting fo...

Re: Structo?????

Tom (and Tom's wife), I'm not too far away in Seattle. I know you are in Oregon. If there is anything I can do to help, don't hesitate to ask. If at some point you'd like me to come down and hang out a bit, I'd be happy to do that. Tom is without a doubt the nicest guy on this board (sorry other nic...

Any thoughts on pitching in on some type of gift?

Count me in. Or maybe a GoFundMe?

Godspeed to you Tom.

Re: Alternatives to the cap stack.

Thanks for all the ideas guys. Sorry if this was a repeat, I apparently didn't search well enough. If someone can find the previous thread and link the two together it may help others in the future.

Alternatives to the cap stack.

I did the traditional hot glue cap stack in an Express and have decided I don't want to do it in the Rocket I'm building. I tried to search for alternatives. Any suggestions or links to threads would be appreciated.

Most of us are aware of it. But we choose to to respect Alexander Dumble by not using his name on a copy of one of his amps.

Re: Half power wiring

I think you'll be disappointed with the results of half power mode. It doesn't equal half-volume. A ten watt amp is half as loud as a 100 watt amp.

Half watt mode mainly shows as less headroom and bass.

Haven't built one yet. I have a Hubsan with the camera. Looking at the Taranis for controller. Open source so open ended on features.

R.I.P Dale Griffin aka Buffin, drummer for Mott the Hoople

Mott was one of Bowie's favorite bands. Dale was 67, same age as Frey. This is happening to fast for me. I haven't finished re-listening to all of Bowie's stuff yet.

Re: SSS Schematics

I've been given permission to give the source of where I got these schematics. Our very own 'glasman' gave me the schematics to pass on to TAG. So everyone give a big thanks to Gary.
