6l6?

I was wondering if you can run 6l6 tubes in a "stock" express with just a bias adjustment...and if so any opinions on doing so

Sure you can. I did that for a while and found that the cleans I could get were nicer to my ear, more Fendery. But the bass response was not to my taste at distortion level.

I went back to EL34 and do prefer them in there!

cool, thanks for the response.....was just thinking it would be nice to run 6l6's to get more of that" super reverb vibe"....will be ordering my transformers soon.....boards have been built for months
