Tidy build.
Looks like you have a switch on the front end. How's that workin out?

Re: Final Guts shot of my Expresse
That switch is for pre-amp voicing.
Position 1 : 1.5k + .47Uf
Position 2 : 1.5K
Position 3 : 1.5K + 25Uf

Thought that was what it was.
Looks like this is instead of the bright switch?
How does the .47uf work out?

Very nicely done!
Re: Final Guts shot of my Expresse
Nice! I like the black boards. Could be the resolution (or my aging eyes) but what is the shrinked wrapped resistor connected to a ground lug in front of the cap stack for?

Hi,
I guess a bleeder (220k?).

Re: Final Guts shot of my Expresse
the shrinked wrapped resistor is 2 100K bleeder resistor.
Re: Final Guts shot of my Expresse
Oh I get it now! Nice trick. I did not see any lead heading off to the right and thought there was just a resistor sitting there on a ground lug looking pretty with nothing to do.DaveWell wrote:the shrinked wrapped resistor is 2 100K bleeder resistor.

Re: Final Guts shot of my Expresse
Very nice! Tight and ballsey in high gain....but clean and full at lower guitar volume settings (I assume for the La Grange intro part)!
Can you brief us on your recording equipment approach and set up?
Well done!!!
