It's my first post in this forum. I have a plan to build komet 60 amp, but have some problem about transformer (PT,OT, and Choke).
Anyone can give the specs about all transformer in komet 60?

Deewa - I have one of those chokes here and measured the DC resistance with my ohm meter at 65 ohms - is that what you needed?

thanks,

Anybody know the best place to purchase these? The HTS numbers don't cross-reference easily to Mojo or Weber.

Allyn may have some, or possibly RJ.

FYI, I contacted Heyboer for a quote. It took them less than a day to respond. $245 and approx 2 weeks delivery.

I have an exchange going with Heyboer to see what the availability is. i don't typically buy less than a dozen of any one tranny. In this case we'll see what they have available or if they will make a small run on them. They often sell directly to individuals but most of my experience with them makes it worth the trouble for me to place a larger order. I'll let you know what they say.

PS FWIW - Edcor on the other hand seems to have a preference for winding trannies one at a time. It's a slower process requiring an engineering fee and usually a lot of phone calls but they do make fantastic products once the educational part is taken care of.

Hey RJ,

You mind seeing if it's a problem for Heyboer to wind one of those PT's for Aussie mains? That'd be 240V/50hz.

dual 120v primaries with 100v taps---allows for various export pri. voltage hookups; 365-0-365n.l. @ 250-300ma; 5v@3a; 6.3v@5-6a; there's around a 70v bias tap from the hv sec wind.

so if you have a jtm45 power trannie laying around, you can use that and it'll get you close----they're about the same size, but you'll have to roll your own bias supply off the hv sec leg. rh
