They told me they based the kit on an actual TW Express they had access to.
I had questioned their MC iron it looked under powered compared to the 300mA used by others but they said it was based off an original so must be right specs.

Mark,
do you know what the current rating of the MC PT is ?
I will have to look back on my emails and see if they ever told me the specs.
I believe I just looked it up on Triodestore's website under transformer section and the emailed asking about what the mA rating was and if it was 50w rated because the PT info on the website states 30w rated.
I might be reading more into the specs then necessary.
Oh yeah before I forget. Myself and probably many others do a lot of business with Triode, great business. But I want to continue buying my TW parts from TAG members as they have contributed so much to this community.
I wonder how much they copped off the documents that I and others did in the Files section? It's free domain stuff, but none of us profit from it and they are cashing in.
Ron, you have an excellent point. I was reading about your document just yesterday.
I'm about to start my build (parts supplied by RJ & Allyn & Dana). I would love to send you a little token of appreciation. You have spent an amazing amount of time putting the document together and without it a 'paint by numbers' builder like me would have no chance!!!
Please PM me your PayPal when you get a chance. Season's Greetings!!!
My introduction to amp building came through of the generous contributions from the folks on this forum. Much thanks dudes. We help keep the tube factories in China and Russia in business. There's a benefit!
