Trio Completed

Post by lions den »

Thought I would share a couple of quick pics, now that Faith, Hope, and Love are done !

The bottom one is the Rocket, Middle is Liverpool, and top is Express.

Mikey did the cabs for the Rocket and Liverpool, the Express was already put together and I purchased second hand. New cabs make the Express look a bit beat up !! I plan to do away with the TW Logo on the Express and maybe sand/refinish it.

Hoping to assemble some quick comparison clips in the next few weeks.

Thanks Mikey, you did a great job!

We need a phrase to describe this noble achievement, like "full monty" or "hat trick."

Trainwreck Triple Crown

TW Trio

Three Finger Death Punch

Woody^3

…k, I'm not doing very well. Your turn.

Very lovely indeed!!! There is nothing wrong with how the Express looks IMO. I personally prefer a hand rubbed type shine over high gloss.

How does the sound of the Liverpool compare to the other 2? I'm looking forward to hearing some comparison clips!

I built the Rocket and Express, but did a 6G6-B instead of a Liverpool as I've never been quite as fond of EL84s as the bigger bottles.

Thanks for sharing ld!

Hey Larry, how the hell are ya? Yeah, tiger rosewood. Let me get another sip of my cocktail and I'll go stack 'em up, take a pic and post it. Whoops, 1st cocktail is gone. Need to make another one.

Ok, two cocktails in I probably could have done better, but here they are.
Top to bottom:
Liverpool clone, tiger rosewood cab (Miyako Designs, Scott)
Express clone, regular maple cab (I think)
Koncorde clone, flamed maple cab (Larry Mann/Distortion)

On top of some old POS cab I bought awhile back.

Great Jim! Still plugging away at programming, playing, kids, grandkids and foster kids (2 little girls right now).

Is that Liverpool or Rocket? 'Cause it's got controls like a Rocket (Cut, no Presence or Middle). Does it have a tube rectifier or SS?

That rosewood is sweet! Are the rosewood boards single pieces of wood at 9 3/4" wide? I can't find them that wide so far...
