Faceplate looks like the ones RJ used to sell here. The text in particular!

I think clone. Has the owner provided any documentation as to the year it was built?

All the real amps I've seen the faceplate and front valence were the same wood.

Also the logos I've seen are black/white.

+1.

If it is being sold as a clone, maybe $1500. If they're trying to claim it as an original, the gut shots won't lie.

Anna real or clone

Post by jody sanders »

Thanks for the replys. The amp is in a pawn shop and there are trying to sell it as a real Trainwreck. The face plate and cabinet construction and faceplate markings were a big concern so I thought I would turn to the forum for help. I will ask if I can remove the chassis tomorrow for more pictures.
Thanks,

Early clone cab definitely.
I recognize the logo made by a member here.
Gutshots will confirm or deny the chassis.

The bigger question is what TW owner would sell an original to a pawn shop?

pawn shop

In the last year I have seen things in pawn shops that you would not beleive. They are asking a lot for the supposed to be TW. Thats why I'm asking questions. I appreciate the feed back.

Thanks,
Clone. I think by now, we know most of the originals and their names (not 100% yet). Might be a good one though. Buy it cheap. If they're claiming it's one Ken's, that's a felony. That might give you some leverage.
