That's always listed. I think he wants $8500 for it. It's a new one from Jm.

If my memory serves me right, I recall that the JM Wrecks were going for $5500, or there abouts. If he only got $4000, that's not such a great investment. Bummer.

I have only seen photos of about 4-5 different JM wrecks, but no gut shots until recently. There are probably many more out there, however I don't think JM will ever tell how many have been sold. Yeah, they are not exactly cheap by any stretch, and from what I have heard, Ken's stash of parts is long gone now. So, what makes JM's wrecks better than anyone else's at this point? The Trainwreck name if you ask me. Or is it the built on Ken's bench mojo? I forget.

I don't think there is anything wrong with JM's builds from the photos that I have seen, they look quite nice. I just think it's a lot of money to pay for a non Ken built TW, when the going rate for a quality wreck clone is about $2500.

Anyway, big bummer for Aaron if he took the $4000. Unless he really needed the dough, then not bad.

It's neither. It's the five principals of tone that only Ken knew and now JM has from Ken's notes.

Sprague .1uf on the presence pot. Probably NOS though as it is printed Sprague, not SBE.
Can't tell if the other coupling caps are sprague or mallory.

Constance was my amp - it was excellent and the new owner will be very happy - although it took some doing to get it into top shape.

as for $$$ i paid 5500 plus the NOS glass - so i had almost 6k into it with shipping.

The coupling caps are either Sprague or have the underlined M. and the 20uf/40uf caps are new Sprage Atoms.

the amps I built use genuine NOS Sprague or Mallory and they look different, that combined with the stancor OT and the amp sounds different. - but they are certainly in the same world.

just as an FYI - i did a comparison of 4 amps - not the best playing, but you can here them all compared - and i think its one of the rare times where you can hear how wicked a Rocket can get.

Nice job on the demos Aaron. I think your clones sound every bit as good as Constance.

Super demo! Man, your Rocket kicks butt! And your Express is every bit as fine sounding as Constance. They're all nice.

Curious - does the 45 clean up with the guitar volume as well as the others?
