Trainwreck PT and OT originals. I have em!

Post by RockingClassElectronics »

Pacific Transformer now distributes audio transformers through a brand for consumers: "Rocking Class Magnetics"

We have Ken Fischer spec'd power and output transformers for Express, Liverpool, and Rocket amps.

We are comprising a catalog to 'model specific' parts to certain amplifiers, whereas before, Pacific only used customer's names and fresh part numbers. [Not amp models/brands]

We can reverse engineer, duplicate, and upgrade transformers for ANY audio amplifier: guitar, bass, or hi-fi/jukebox. Change taps/lams/core metal etc.

Are you referring to & representing Pacific Transformers?

Will you be creating a "Rocking Class Magnetics" website?

The original iron was Chicago Standard, Stancor.

I was just thinking Pacific because the OP refers to this company as making these trannys in the late 80's/early 90's.... which I thought was about the same time that Ken switched to Pacifics, as he couldn't get the Stancors anymore...just a guess though...

Based on the passing of the engineer I would have to also say Pacific. IIRC he passed shortly after Ken.

Apparently Google doesn't have a roving camera near the Mars Rover. Too bad. I was hoping I could catch a glimpse of the ID plate on its' transformers.

Why the secrecy regarding the parent company, Rocking Class?

To answer ALL of your questions:
Lots of producers of Trainwreck amp clones resell Pacific Transformers, though they keep it secret and sell it as their own. I see now you all know Pacific, I can come out and say I am with Pacific Transformers  I am not here to resell Pacific Transformers, I am overseeing all the sales and development of audio parts FOR Pacific Transformer, so I am SELLING Pacific Transformers. Rocking Class is the proposed new brand UNDER pacific to handle audio parts market only. Pacific makes a great part as I'm sure most of you know. That engineer that passed back in 2007 was Randy Neverka, and his name is on all the drawings and spec sheets owned by Pacific.

The person that asked about the website: We will have the website up and running as soon as we can muster up a catalog of EVERY audio part Pacific has ever made. Audio parts are currently a TINY aspect of Pacific and nobody had the knowledge or audacity to tackle the audio parts market. I am the only one that builds amps and plays guitar and know what to look and listen for. Pacific Transformers mainly makes custom transformers for companies that order large quantities; or specialty transformers... Like our transformers in 3 Mars Rovers, cruise missiles, security cameras, electric car chargers, govt super computers etc... So in other words, not very consumer friendly. I am able to have YOUR audio parts replicated, and produced a lot quicker than YOU going to Pacific and doing it yourself.

The initial message may have come off hostile because I posted it just after I got done arguing with someone on facebook about Trainwreck parts and mercury transformers. There are thousands of posts and users on this forum site and I havent even scratched the surface.
