At the risk of sounding like a jerk...is the speaker plugged in?

    No Worry hahaha…

    Yes speaker is plug in.
Try different cable different cabinet… different amp to see if cable and speaker work.

So I know that all cables are good.

I will call him for you and let him know of this thread. In the meantime, could you post pictures of the components inside the amp? maybe we can see a problem. Also do you have (and can you use) a Digital Multimeter? Some voltage readings might help us identify a problem

    Great thanks a lot,
I'll take a couple of pictures of the inside as soon as I'm back home..
I've got a small digital meter. So I can take reading. But I'll need help as I've never did it inside an amp.

Thanks a lot for your help

Allyn has not built an amp in a while. Is this a used amp that was originally built by Allyn?

If it is a used amp, then a bunch of things could be wrong, nothing a good tube tech could not fix.

Also, if you do not know what safety measures to take inside amps, do not go in there. You can kill yourself.

Hi Carl, who did you buy the amp from? Maybe it will help me remember which one it is. PM me some pics and I'll have a look. Remember, if you don't know your way around an amp...Be Careful! Take it to a qualified tech and have him contact me for help.

As you guy's have asked me,
here are some pictures of it. As far as repair, I can take reading inside it.
I won't repair it myself. Problem is my amp tech only speak french.. So can't have anybody helping him out.

That's an oldie!!! Looks like someone's been in there before. Check out the 500pF cap (treble) cap. It looks burnt. If thee is absolutely no sound coming out of the speaker, check the voltages on the plates of the power tubes. We should know quickly.

One or more of your filter caps is broken loose. Not sure if that's part of your problem, but it's a dangerous situation that needs to be addressed.

Looks like hot glue. Never use hot glue inside an amp that gets hot. Use acid free silicone. I'd definitely take that whole block apart and redo it.
