Rocket Combo

Post by JoeCon »

Well I finally got my "Fowler 18 Watt" Rocket amp into a nice combo cabinet from RJ. So now it cranks and looks good too..

Thanks...

Not at all sure what a "Fowler 18 Watt" Rocket amp" is but looks nice. I want to know where you got that coiled cable? Old still good relic from your past or do they still make those things?

That combo looks great and I bet it sounds like a million bucks.

Coiled guitar cords are available in many different colors.

Rp

I got my 2 EL84 layout for the Rocket from a nice one that Mark had done. Gotta give credit where credit is due.

The cord is from Lava Cable Reto Cord series, not cheap and works great.

Oh Yeah that little Rocket is the first thing I grab when I wanna play. Built 3 other amps but that Rocket is super. And now it's got a great cab too.
Thanks for all your help with it...

Get it. Life's too short not too. Lava cable is excellent.

I'm with you, rp. And of course it had to be in my favorite color! :-)

I definitely want the snazzy expensive one. My amps and cabs are all blond, my fave axe is my G&L SC-1 in blond, so a white coiled would be most refined.

Few pics of the Rocket build. Blank chassis, holes punched and drilled, xformers, circus board and such....

Dave, thanks man the Rocket is such an unassuming little amp until you open her up!! And mines a 2 EL84 version...WOW!

Jazz, oh yeah gotta go for the purple coil cord! You'll be surprised how heavy it is, it's sturdy as all get out.
