Great Layout Bnwitt - What transformers are used & what did you use as the basis for this layout? I havent heard any clips of the asteroide, how does it differ from the express sound wise?

Asteroid Layout

Very nice work Barry. Now if only a beautiful chassis was available to house it, and some snazzy trannies to juice it up! 8)

Joe,
take a guess
OK - OK , I guess I must have been in outerspace, I mean layouts like this just dont fall from the sky. But still , any info on the trannies? recomended secondary voltage & MA ?

New layout with filter cap notes

Post by bnwitt »

I added some notes on the 4 main filter caps of which two are on top of the board and the other two are directly under the board in series with the partner cap above. This of course gives you 40uf with 900 volts for each set of the two 80uf 450v caps

Isn't the negative voltage to the bias pot taken from the negative side of the other 8uf cap?
