Celestion blue and Celestion G12H-55 30 watts

Both will work. Try to have your cabinet 16 ohms.

2 8 ohms in series for 16 ohms OR 4 16 ohms series-parallel.

I am big fan of transparent speakers with a Rocket. I use a 2x12 loaded with an EVM 12L and a JBL K-120. Killer sounding.

There should be many clips of Rockets on youtube with various cabs and speakers. Lots of great speakers out there today to choose from.

Here are a few done with a 4x12 with greenbacks. Using different guitars. These are more cranked than clean settings..

I use WGS Veteran 30 speakers with the Rocket because they have just the right amount of brightness not overboard and the price is great $79.

Yes the Celestion Alnico blue and gold are fantastic speakers but cost $289 each, even though I have two cabinets loaded with them I use with Dr Z Stangray and my own Zwreck Clone.

The rocket is a great sounding amp, very bright but not ice picky.

To be honest it sounds great through all the speakers I have, it's just a matter of taste. I would love to try it through a pair of alnico blue/gold but over here in the UK they're £200 plus each.

The Eminence Red Fang is a 50W alnico speaker for under 200 USD. Not sure if it's a good idea for the Rocket, but it is alnico. I don't know what sort of VAT there is on imports to the EU.

Thanks for all suggestions.. This will be more complicated then I expected :D

@Richie: I like your sound very much and playing is on the top level. Did you mod your amp or?

@M Fowler: I checked WGS Veteran 30 and they are 69$ at the moment. Their price is great but shipping is around 140$ to me, without customs.

The Blue is the traditional speaker for AC30 type amps, so there's no reason it should be prone to failure, unless mods to increase the amp's power are made, eg fixed bias.

Lean Business could probably get a WGS speaker to you for a lot less than $140 http://www.lean-business.co.uk/eshop/wg ... -1907.html though the base price is higher due to UK VAT (20% sales tax), unless you are outside the EU, in which case you may be exempt from paying it.

Snap! Used a single K-120 for years then switched to a EVM12L - best speaker on the planet 8)
