Nice! Does that circuit board have traces on the bottom side? Or did you run wires underneath?

Nice work, good cab too. I wish I knew anything about building a cab.

The board and the cab both came from RJ. I ran wires under the board. The cab is the eco from his sight. Its plywood, but with some wood filler and some sanding it looks good for a few feet away uncovered. Some day I'll build a nice hardwood cab for her.

This also has one of the newer JM trainwreck features, no bright switch just a bright cap 100pf. Done this way to make the amp more stable.

Doesn't the JM amps also use circuit Dana and Richie came up with?

I'm not 100% sure on that

I had a look and Dana and Richie came up with VVR3, they are supposed to be the best design out there, but sadly they don't make them anymore. It was a good thing while it lasted.

I know the one that Ken built for JM had a built in attenuator. I do not know if it is an airbrake in the same chassis or if it is some sort of VVR.

I suspect it has to be something like the VVR3 because the Airbrake's resistors are quite large.

its located on the left side(looking from the rear) I believe there would be enough room above the weather stripped area to do an airbrake there. JM's Ken built amp is from 1985 IRC so I doubt it would be a VVR type setup.
also has a slave out like Kens airbrake did.

I see. Have you built an Airbrake, if so how well do they work?

No, I have not that is next up after a few more circuit tweaks, including an el34/6v6 bias switch and triode pentode switch(1/2 power switch)

Nice build... thanks for posting that up for us to get a look at.

Building in an attenuator is not too difficult and has turned out to be one of the cooler features I've added to a Wreck. I use an internal rheostat but have the load resistors on the outside of the chassis.

Yes, that is a reverse image build and not a digital flip.

Check with Lou Rossi here on the forum about VVR boards...
