The OT type can make a big difference also, even with the same specs, depends on the design..

I have built one ages ago, started with Sozo like you did and switched back to Mallory PS style and it was an improvement, it was smoother and clearer. That was 10 years ago or so but I liked the switch.

well, here's the end of this particular story/build.
I took the Express over to a friends studio yesterday so we could have a play.
It never came back.................
Interestingly we paired it with a lot of different speakers and the winners by far were.
Old vintage Marshall 2x12 with greenbacks and the surprise contended, the sealed ported Dumble Larry carlton cab with an EVM 12. Awesome sound.
So it's gone to a good home.
a happy ending.

erm...I think so.....It's the one I've built twice now
