Vertex T Drive

Anyone heard anything on the new Vertex T Drive coming out soon based on the most Express-ive amp of all time? Should be interesting.

I went to their website and watched all the demo videos; masterful playing and great tone. BUT, in none of the videos did the player roll the guitar's volume control down to show how the circuit cleans up. Isn't the Express known for this, or am
I thinking of a different amp?

Yep, showing the "clean to mean" range is top priority in my book. Still that requires a player that is very familiar with working the amp from the guitar knobs. That however is a lost art for many if not most players these days.

Geetarpicker, you are GK, right? Vertex claim they used your amplifier to model their stompbox after. Did they not consult you on its sound? Have you not played through it?

I did play one about 3 years ago which I'm assuming was a prototype of what has become the current release. After I checked it out and recorded it, I let them know what I thought and shipped it back to them. I haven't heard back since, though I'm obviously curious how it eventually worked out!

Ill admit that doesn't sound anything like the Express's I've built.
These vintage amp types of Pedals are simply gimmicks.

Glen what did you think about the pedal?
