Not meaning to hijack the tread but was curious after seeing the 56k grid leak.
would it be worth mounting on the front panel rather than using a trimmer?

I just tried this with a 100kl pot before the 56k to ground, and it’s a great idea... I’m really digging it with the pot halfway, for about 100k to ground total. Front mounted is def the way I’ll go.

Also adding a switch to take the entire cold clipper stage in/out, making this a very versatile combo.

It’s not on the cathode, it’s a dpst that takes the entire section from after the .003uf to just after the .022uf out of circuit, sending the first two stages into the PI like an aa964 Princeton. This thing is pretty d@mn versatile now! I’ll do an updated schem, pics, and video soon.

For lower voltage with a tube rectifier, it feels surprisingly stiff, but that could be the speaker, too. Might add a 47pf treble snubber across the PI plate & cathode.

I would say thin. maybe mic ? Its hard to tell on VH riffs that I've heard a billzion times.
harmonics where there tho.. very nice!
