Nice Site and Howdy from Arizona

Post by glasman »

Hi Omar, really nice BB for DIYers. Here is a picture of my latest
project boards (partially completed). Not a Wreck, but along the same vein.

Sorry about the size of the picture....

Hey Gary!

Those boards look great! If you ask me, those look every bit as good, if not a little better, than the ones Howard built himself. ;) He certainly followed a different layout philosophy than Ken, but I think it just goes to show that there's a lot of different paths to great tone. What kind of relays are you planning on using? I'd probably experiment more with SS myself if fitting the parts on an eyelet/turret board wasn't such a PITA, but you seem to have that part worked out well. I'm eager to hear about how they sound when you drop them into something!

Thanks Matt, take a look at the page below.
It is the amp that these three boards were based on. The relays are
a OEG/Tyco relay SL-212 if I recall correctly. There are a
few sound clips on the site.

The SS regulator is for the relay. About the only place you'd see
me messing with SS parts.
