Filtercaps, how to assemble?

Hi. Just sourcing my Express build, and I am wondering how the filter capacitors are assembled in the chassis, Is it just put on the floor so to speak? Or is it assembled on some kind of turret board?

they are glued basically. hardly an optimal solution

If you haven't made your board yet I like building the cap board like this and add the other filter caps on the main tone board.

Other wise you can build the cap board all together under/over version.

Glue is absolutely fine if the chassis is 2" tall with a bottom plate just like Ken did them. Spargue atom caps fit perfectly. Once they are glued and soldered in with solid core wire theres no way they will become a safty hazard IMO.

This amp only required two caps on the bottom and three caps on top it's a Songwriter type amp such as Komet Songwriter.

Both of those chassis appear to be WattsTubeAudio which I think Ken Watts is still out of business.

rjguitars.net might have some in stock otherwise, on ebay under 17x8x2 tube amplifier chassis there are sellers that I have used.

In United Kingdom modulus Amplification sells TW style chassis and other types of chassis as well as parts.
