On the output transformer you need to use the secondary wires black, white, green and yellow to get 6800 ohms reflected from 4, 8 or 16 ohm speakers.
On the power transformer you use the red secondary wires for 300-0-300 volts center tap ground (red/yellow)
[/quote]
The red wire indicate 640 and the red/white indicate 600
So I think the red/white is the one to choose.
What if I take the 2red wire, over voltage, good, bad really bad ?
Thanks

Re: Weber transformer specs
I have written to C.J. Sutton at weber about what he would recommend for an express
Hi David
I recommend these
https://tedweber.com/w022798 (possibly with these https://tedweber.com/w022798su-bell)
and the https://tedweber.com/wot45lhr
let me know if you need anything else
thanks

Hello -
Triode is still showing availability of TW model output transformer from ClassicTone - http://store.triodestore.com/40-18064.html.
Best .. Ian

Re: Weber transformer specs
I like CJ, but that PT is WAAAAAY too much voltage for an Express. Just looking at the Classic Tone version, it's 520/600. The Weber listed is 660/720! That's fine if you want to use 6L6 and a tube rectifier, but an Express uses neither of those...
Re: Weber transformer specs
I think that the PT the Weber WPT30 will be my choice.

The specs are good but they don't got the stand up end belles... Damn.
Someone make iron in the same price range as Weber ?
EDCOR are cheap but 8 week to receivr it and in this time maybe more....
Classictone, but I think that they go out of business.
Hammond are as much expensive than the Heyboer...
Rocking class don't have the Pacific on hand by now....
What else left !!!!

Re: Weber transformer specs
Honestly, that's probably as close as you can get with the Weber transformers. Their iron really is pretty decent for the money, although that PT is pretty pricey compared to their other stuff. If you wanted to experiment, the W025130INT is much cheaper. The secondary isn't rated as high, but you will be saving some heat by not using the 5V tap, and they *do* have the stand-up bells available for that one. Just a thought!

Re: Weber transformer specs
Hey Johnny, do you think the W025130 has enough mA to power an EL34 express?
It's only 150mA, that's at the limit for the EL34's, yes?

Hammond 1750H (20 watts) or the 1650HA (40 watts) both are cheap and have 6K6 primary impedance. The 1650HA has ultralinear taps.sonofmickel wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 12:01 am Yes, more info on this please.
I am looking for a "cheap" 6.6k OT for my garbage can Express build.
I have a 3.4k Classictone now.
Would the Weber WOT45 series be good for 6V6S?

Re: Weber transformer specs
For the price, I'd give it a shot...I'm not guaranteeing it would work, but if it gets too hot, you could swap in another PT. I think, since the Express won't use the 5V rectifier tap, and you won't be up to the limit on the 6.3V tap, that will save a little heat.sonofmickel wrote: ↑Mon Nov 16, 2020 8:13 am Hey Johnny, do you think the W025130 has enough mA to power an EL34 express?
