I´m going to order some custom transformers for my TrainWreck A4 clone so I need to know the exact specs .
For those who live in Europe, Shinrock.com is making transformers again, they accept all kind of custom trannys, too bad that they still taking too long to deliver them .

Re: Transformers specs.
Opps ! Sorry !
Just found the Heyboer transformer specs in this forum !
I don´t need a too much overrated transformer ( overrated = more money ), i think that i don´t need the 5V 4A on the PT !! And 6.3V 7A ??? Do i need 7A on the heaters for 5 valves ??
Thanks.
-- Edit: Thanks RossH --

Re: Transformers specs.
EL34's draw 1.5A ea, and 12AX7's draw 300mA ea, so you need at least 5A to be safe, and if you're doing away with the 5V wind that leaves plenty of room for a 7 A wind on the same core size. It's the same amount of work to do a 5A wind as a 7A wind, I think the difference is in the gauge of wire used.
