High gloss or normal? 100% tung oil?
What do you think a original Wreck had used?

I don't know what the originals had, but I prefer Tru Oil to tung oil. Tung oil can sometimes stay sticky, where Tru Oil is a gunstock finish, and sets up hard. It's glossy, but you could hit it with some 0000 steel wool to knock down the shine. Good luck with whatever you choose!
