Trainwreck Liverpool Polarity

Post by Bombacaototal »

Hi all, I have a question regarding the Liverpool amps. Based on the uneven number of stages present in the amp, the signal will be out of phase with a standard speaker wiring. I am wondering if Ken addressed this by any means, or if this was "part of the sound"? I am slowly getting to speed with Ken's works but have not yet come across this specific topic

Were isolated speaker jacks used?
If not, not much can be done about the polarity inversion, so from that it might be inferred that it wasn’t of any interest.

You can just swap the leads at the speaker and use whichever polarity you prefer.

Yes indeed, I was just wondering what was Ken's approach, did he swap it in order for things to be back in phase or did he leave them out of phase
