Liverpool question
For those that have built a Liverpool, did you have to put a grid stopper on the input to the first preamp stage. Also for those that have a master volume control, which one do you like the best...New to posting on this board so bear with me...Looking at my first TW build.

Re: Liverpool question
Yes. A small grid stop on gain grids.
No masters. The whole amp is the sound and its unreal great, but not possible with a master.. seriously. It will be fizzy and it won't throw any tantrums.
It sounds great straight into a salt and pepper cab or a dead load. It breaks up pretty early on the volume, but dials to a ridicluous clean on the instrument. A master changes all that in a terrible way. You can variac it down A LOT and it sounds good and no children cry.
Colossal built mine. I only bought it for that reason. Was not a bad thing to do.

Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.
