Liverpool BOM says to use 5k2. The link to Toneslut transformers has specs for the Express, Rocket, and Liverpool: https://www.toneslut.com/transformers/index.html where a dual primary is shown with 6k6 and 5k2. With the Liverpool's low B+, the lower impedance makes sense.

Some years ago, I researched this ad nauseum and made a note on my reference schematic that states "OT primary is 6k6, not 4k3 or 5k2". I am reasonably certain this is from Allyn Meyers. I don't know why I don't have the reference written down, but if I have added to my reference schematic, then I did so with the certainty that it would defeat any future doubt, if I came back around to the matter. My as-built Liverpools have been 333V Plates and 317V Screens.

Happy to learn otherwise, of course. I'll still look for the reference.

Lots of discussion here: https://ampgarage.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... 72#p326772 Differing opinions on the effect on the tone... as always.

Pretty sure it was debunked as 6k6. Pacific released 20 or so of kens transformer documents and non had 6k6 if I remember correctly.
Also the early amps with the Gray Stanor apear to be the a 3801 as seen in the express.
