DR Z Cut Control

Post by leadfootdriver »

Dr Z put a Cut Dial on the Z Wreck. I assume it's for brightness. I could be wrong. BUT.. I often thought maybe 500pf was to much for the Bright Switch on my Express..
How could we put a Pot in there and adjust from 500pf at max and turn it down to no Cap in the circuit with a Linear Pot?
What value Pot would we need and so on??

Cheers.

Thanks.
I think I'm getting a bit crazy.
Maybe a more reasonable approach is to replace the 100pf with a more moderate value. I think the bright in the low position is useless anyway.
I'm thinking a 420pf or a 390pf and leave the 500pf alone.
Anyone else play with the Bright values??

Yes the Express is already bright so 100pf and 250pf to 330pf is enough. I also use treble cut iinstead of presence pot. Depth pot works well too.
