I like it ok!

(dc offset comment removed due to obsessive compulsive issue)
Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.

:?

No, thanks!

omg it's not relevant. Umm see the (-) phase of your waveforms. 0 is not the middle. There is about 30% (+) DC offset in your recordings.

Yeah. I am never happy. You should see what happens when someone tweets about physics or a Youtube channel talks about vintage instruments.

Oh yeah, I see what you mean. Maybe that's just a Soundcloud thing. That's not how the waveform shows in my DAW.

oh no now im triggered i need to go through my soundcloud and delete anything with added offset

Crisis averted. It's something they did to the visual representation only. Idiots.

Sounded good. It is different to other clips though I see what you mean. Unfortunately I've never heard an actual Liverpool in person so I can only go off of clips! I've got an Express clone myself.
What settings and guitar did you use?

Guitar is a Suhr Pete Thorn Signature. Amp settings were volume noon, treble and mid 2:00, bass 10:00, presence noon. 100pF bright cap. At one point I switch the the 500pF bright cap.

What values did you use for the tonestack? Have you checked your wiring? Do the controls all work how they should? Same for the presence.

47pF treble, 22nF mid and bass. 100nF presence. Yep, they all seem to work as they should.

I think the Bass pot is meant to be a Linear taper 250K. I'm a bit concerned that there could be something else wrong here, as with a 250K Log Taper bass pot and an already big low end cut with 2.2nF and 68K you should have a very lean amp right now. I actually thought it sounded a tad trebley in the clip you posted, maybe because so much bass is being cut. What cab do you normally play through?

2 different cabs. A Suhr 212 closed back with Greenbacks. And another 212 semi open back with a V30/G12H-30 combination.

What if you clip another 2.2nF in parallel with the existing 2.2nF between the 2nd and 3rd stages? Interested to see if you get closer to Pete's sound or if you feel the bass situation becomes much worse.
