I just installed Dana's VVR in my express and all I can say is this thing is the bomb . Forget about the UA, airbreak..Etc nothing compares..IMHO. I didn’t notice any change in tone all the way down to basement volume. It really does sound the same as the TW cranked The UA sounds compressed compared to the VVR. I installed mine on the back panel and it worked out fine.

I'm sorry. I was so ready to install it in the head box I forgot to take pix. Its very easy to install. Don't wait, buy it now, you will not look back.

Has anyone gigged with the vvr yet? how did it sound? I will be using mine at my next gig.

It's pretty simple. Set up your amp with the VVR all the way up. (full power)
Dial in your tone and volume.
If the venue, or band, or sound guy tells you it's too loud then turn the VVR back in small incremental amounts until everyone's happy.

Or F-'em and leave it where you want it.

I built a few of these. And then recorded my customers as they played their first gigs with them. That was the routine every time.

I would suggest giving it some time. It doesn't look like Dana has been on this forum in a while. His last post was in May.

You might try PM'ing him through this forum instead.

Look up "UR12" in the search engine under author search.
