Great to see one of Brad's cabs on here. Well overdue. His stuff is lovely. Glad you're happy with your amp - Allyn's builds always look the goods, would love to hear one sometime.

Me too  It's really pretty amazing the tones from this rig. It seems that the volume jump going from fast / gradual is less noticable at higher volumes, but very noticable at low volumes. It would be cool if there was a trim pot or something where that level could be adjusted. Not a big deal though. Overall this thing is killer.

Bump

could you / someone please explain the "fast - gradual " thing...??
Choke sag ?

( There's far too many "inside" abbreviasions and expressions here for a guitar amp novice.... :P )

It's a voicing switch that changes the character of the amp. "Gradual" mode is the regular mode, not as quick to respond and lower gain. "Fast" is quicker response to touch and has a higher gain tone and feel to it. The amp that inspired this one has fast - gradual voicing and is actually called that, but is switchable via a rear panel toggle. This amp can be footswitched between these two modes which is kind of a no brainer after you've used it. No inside abbreviations here

So the 60 day report on this amp is that it just completely freaking rocks...due to some travel and home sale issues I've not been able to really blast it as much as I would prefer - but got an hour or two in with it this afternoon and I'm still grinning. Girth and authority are two words that come to mind. Killer. Period.
