Bias circuit filtering
Do you guys think it would make a big difference if I used a 47uf cap instead of a 10 uf cap in the first stage of the pi filter in the bias circuit on my express?

It should be okay. Bias supply is not as critical as other areas. Besides, you'll providing more filtering. Just make sure the voltage rating is high enough.
