TW chassis available

Post by KT66 »

Hey guys, I recently purchased a trainwreck style chassis on Ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/CALLAHAM-EL-84-AMP- ... 7C294%3A50) from a very nice gentleman by the name of Bill Callaham. He used them to build these amps: http://www.callahamguitars.com/amps.htm. He is liquidating his inventory of them and has both the Express and Liverpool/Rocket types available for $35 plus shipping. You can contact him at : callaham@callahamguitars.com .

I followed Ryan's link to determine the chassis thickness:

"The chassis is a .070" aluminum folded and welded design that is extremely strong and made to handle road travel. "

The Callaham amps were not "clones", so dont expect things to be just like an Express or Liverpool... They were very very similar circuits, but not exactly the same.

Sorry to mislead anybody I was just trying clue people in on a good deal.
I plan on using mine for an AC30ish build, so I didn't really care about where the holes are, I just figure that I'll make it work, but I should have checked to make sure it was what I was claiming before I posted.

Ryan, I bought one for the same reason you did. Great price! It won't look like a real Trainwreck. I'm going for the tone with this one. Thanks for the lead. Bill told me he would send me a gut shot of an amp he built with this chassis. Victor :D

I think you did just fine. We know you weren't trying to deceive anyone, don't worry. I'm sorry for bringing it up.

Please don't stop bringing good deals to our attention. We appreciate it.
