Asteriod/Express

I have been contemplating building an Asteriod for quite a while.However, I don't need another loud 60 watt amp.
I was thinking about using Asteriod front end,ex. pot values,preamp ect into an Express power amp,Trannies ect..This would be roughly 35 watts instead of 60 watts.Has anyone else tried this?How did it sound?

I have read here that these amps are loud, but the express is loud too. I am currently working on an express myself..

I am putting together the Asteroid 60 and don't know of any hybrid TW/Asteroid but I am sure some one probably has tried or thought about it.
