New Guy with Questions

Howdy,

I'm new to the TW site and actually just heard about these beasts recently when my son told me about them. Been playing since the early 70s although my son is much better than I. Anyway we are going to build a couple of these babies. I have a degree in electronics, hopefully that wont be a hinderence, did have some tube theory back in 82 at tech school. I forgot most of it, but reading this site is causing some of it to come back, pretty cool site. Anyway I had a couple questions...

I see there are a few models that folks are building and was wondering which one would give the more reserved tones since I play more blues and some R&R? Are the tonal characteristics of the amp adjustable with biasing, etc. or are specific models more suited to specific music types?

Love the pics of the work you guys do, real works of art, I'm chomping at getting started, but need to do the homework first. Plenty of reading ahead.... I'm excited........
