To make this little amp versatile I changed the VIB from NORMAL to BRILLIANCE. Now the sound will be done by that input & NORMAL can be connected to a mp3-, cd-player (or whatever) to mix it together with you playing guitar. ;)

Hi,

nothing is forever! :D
So a minor change took place: I changed from a Two-Channel-Input (ECC83) to a One-Channel-Input (Hi-Lo), which means the ECC83 for the two Inputs NORMAL & BRILLIANT has been replaced with a EF86 (just like the original schematic with a few component values being changed). That gives a bit more gain. The Top Boost stage is still there now following the EF86.

The SPEED pot is at the place of the former NORMAL input pot - The SLAVE jack socket regained its former place and will be used as a slave output to drive a power amp so this little amp could be used as a Preamp Head.

Just to complete the subject: this is how the back looks now with screws in (almost) original style:

The slave output driving a AC30 works fine! :)

Hi there,

can somebody tell me what went wrong with my pics I linked from photobucket?
I can't use FF or Edge or IE because of the well-known problem this site has but when I use Opera all the pics are gone.

Don't worry with the pics. On the server side, the hosting service does probably more than statically linking to the "real" object - meaning it's all on their good will and may change without notice - and on the client side, this forum seems to cancel the "showing picture" when the server takes too long to repond.

That being written with respect to your late concerns, now I wish could see something of (maybe just part of) a schematic for the outcome (EF86 -> top boost) pre-amp...
