jp V1 whatif

Hi all. I have a questions about the cathode follower circuit on V1. If I did not want to use the Blend/XLR circuit what components would I leave out?
Or would I just set it up as a triode ( 220k / 1.5k / 100uf / ) and have the VOL connected to a plate driven .02cap? Thanks for any advice.

Suggest to connect the 47nF cap to the 100k resistor that feeds the volume pot.
