Anyone selling reasonably accurate AC30 chassis'?

Anyone know of a source? How about the voltage selector?

Seems not likely, see this thread here:

http://ampgarage.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=5382

Basically I just built an AC30/4 myself and it was in a standard chassis (very tight) for a marshall style head. I mounted the transformers on a vertical metal panel to give me more room in the body itself, and separate them away a bit.

I think I read somewhere once in the past that there was a company that had some, but they weren't in high demand. You may have to try and fabricobble one together yourself.

A guy names Steve was selling them in EU and another USA guy was selling AC15 but haven't talked to him in years.

I got mine from a TAG member which appears to be a Weber chassis I think. Weber is the only place I know of right now that sells AC30 chassis.

I think weber 'used' to sell them but right now i don't see anything on their site. They've also gotten really bad about communication/customer support. I ordered a few fuses and circuit breakers for troubleshooting amps, and it took them 3 business days to ship. I emailed asking about why it hadn't shipped at 2 days, they didn't reply for a day and then told me it was shipping that day.

Then they got the order wrong, and sent me a 4amp circuit breaker when I'd ordered a 5amp, and when I asked about it, they never replied, but I got some notice they'd shipped me something. I think that may have been the replacement 5amp but I don't know.

So if you aren't in a hurry, and don't need any help, they're fine. I just happened to need them for a customer that was waiting on his amp, and they really let me down. I had to run find my local electronics shop to buy some 5am slowblow fuses

There's one on eBay right now, for a very high price:

Oh ok cool, it's not true to the real chassis, as that has a separate weird side thing that holds the transformers and e84's, but that seems like it would still fit in a cabinet correctly and has a correct looking plate, it's also kinda pricey! Wow, but thanks for that! (I tend to like to do new designs instead of go for authenticity myself, though.)

I love the tone of the AC30, I may have to try and do a build of the AC30/6 at some point with Top boost etc.

I got good experience with the weber chassis. it is fairly accurate. But the next ac30 style amp I build will use a chassis closer to TW or matchless

He must like individual twisted wire for each tube socket instead of daisy chaining.

Oh and now that I look at those build pics, I do see it is like the original, I couldn't see that extra flange off that holds the transformers and power tubes/rectifier tube, okay. Yeah that definitely looks odd on the heaters having multiple wires tied together with zip ties like that?

I've got a non-top-boost chassis from the same guy, and can vouch for the quality and authenticity.
