Eminence EPS-12C for application other than steel guitar

Has anyone tried the EPS-12 speakers in anything other than pedal steel application? I am considering using one for a 70's ODS. Seems somewhat similar to some of the other well liked D*style speakers like the EV's, JBL's Altecs. A bit lighter though, with the Neo mag.
