what to do with a peavey deuce cabinet...behold!!

Post by norburybrook »

So I had the cab left from the peavey deuce after I'd removed it's transformers etc

It was made from very light solid pine.

So I made a new baffle and rear panels and here we are :D

My first time at piping , not to bad.

It's got a pair of Jensen 40w Alnicos that can be run in stereo or mono. I sort of modelled it on an AC30.

Keep it up, and you'll start to give Aaron serious competition for fancy packaging.

Great job!
I have an 18W build in the works, and hope to get some piping experience with that cab.

thanks, my first time doing piping, used a straight 1/8 router bit and clamped a straight edge on the wood and routed a channel. seemed to work OK for a first go.

Cab sounds really good. I've heard some bad reports about these new Jensen alnico's but they sound great to me, they break up nicely and they've got a sweet top end, not harsh at all.

Indeed this is a great cab! I also just saw you post a reply to Jelle's purple cab dumble with a pic of this on FB :)
