Since this is the more wood working section does anybody have any info on building the suitcase style case,I think I have it figured out with some hook hinges and those butterfly twist hinges. Then I will tolex the lid and the removable bottom of the pedal board.I have the harness to add the pilot light ,switch on off and the in socket and the out. This is a christmas gift to my son in law,so I got plenty of time.I have a second that has box joints.Ill tell you what the spray glue is a quick dry.

Hi Mike,

Nice looking board! The tenons are a great touch.

The only thing I would add on the suitcase build [if the same wood / planks are used] is to build the 'box' complete and cut the top off on a table saw - keeps the edges and wood grain matched up.

Looks great Mikey.

I used Blackbird pedal board kit because all the neat AC connector and 1/4" connectors it came with were what I needed anyway so decided to go with kit.

I envy you "furniture" builders!
I have build cabs, and even road cases, but if I didn't cover them with something, they would sure be ugly!

That looks really great! I never use pedals. Ever. However, if I had something that nice to put them on, I think I might have to change my religion on the subject.

Thaks guys,This was helpful,Im going to do what Geeze said.Ill build a box and them cut it on the table saw maybe a 1&1/2" in.I can put a shiplap route on the two pieces so they line up and the top sort of drops in to a tight fit.Sort of like the traditional TW head cab joint. Then install four buckles latches ect.Ill tolex the whole ting on the outside and put some nice fabric on the inside. My son inlaw is going to the Middle East to serve in January and I just want him to have a real nice pedal board. He plays at churches and that kind of things so he will really use it.I apreciate you guys very much,Thanks you ,Mikey

Thanks Phil,He might be going to the middle east in a few months to serve.I wanted to do something special for him,These kids all use pedals these days.I built him a brown suger amp and cabs.So this fawn matches his cab and head. That West Coast Pedal is a great asset when doing pedal boards, they really helped me with every guestion and any parts needed. Thanks Merry Chrismas :D
