2X12 cabinet wired for 4 and 16 ohm
I have 2 8 ohm speakers in a 2X12 cabinet and wish to wire it for both 4 and 16 ohm loads using a couple of Cliff jacks. Could someone with more knowledge than I look this diagram over and see if my thinking is correct?

I see the 4 ohm jack putting both speakers in parallel, but the 16 ohm jack connects to only one speaker.

I accomplish this with a switch.
I build and repair tube amps. http://amps.monkeymatic.com

This worked well for me in a 2-12 cab. It's only $15.95 at AES.

You can get even fancier if you add a dpst switch to that panel, which breaks the connections between the two speakers. This allows the cab to be 8 ohms, by using either speaker by itself (it's slightly quieter, too)
