A my local Lowes they have clear pine boards 12"x1"x12' . They are straight, dry, free of any knots, and bright white. They come from New Zealand. Looks much better than the knotty yellow pine commonly available.

That might be radiata pine. Think it is also called Monterrey pine. Flatsawn, it looks very cool compared to the typical box-store pine.

Hi statorvane I realised I did not answer you. The link below shows the engineered pine. Its actually called laminated pine. Though this example has too many knots.
Thank you for the clarification. I thought you meant the engineered floorboard stuff.

I just finished off the 2nd of the 3 head cabs that we made earlier in the summer.
I used Sand Nubtex tolex with Oxblood grill cloth and white piping.

This time I sprayed the inside matte black before applying the tolex, it saved a lot of time.
I cut 3 large holes in the front baffle as well. I used a bit that is used to cut door handle holes.
