sometimes, less is more.....

Post by norburybrook »

When I built my Trainwreck rocket rig I always had nagging doubts about the cab. It was salt and pepper black and white cloth with lots of white piping.

After a year I decided today enough was enough so stripped the old cloth off, removed the piping and replaced with plain back grill cloth.

sometimes less is more.

I think it matches the head perfectly now.

Nice job! How do you get the piping mounted? Do you cut off the flat part and glue just the rope? I can't see a raised area on either side.
Very Dumbleatious neighborhood. 😁 :D

do you mean the piping on the front between the colours? you have to route a channel and then press it in, it's different to speaker grill piping as it's just a round solid section of plastic, it should probably be called 'beading' or something like :D

It's called 'trim Strip' at Tube town where I get my tolex/grill cloth etc
