When I built my Trainwreck rocket rig I always had nagging doubts about the cab. It was salt and pepper black and white cloth with lots of white piping.
After a year I decided today enough was enough so stripped the old cloth off, removed the piping and replaced with plain back grill cloth.

Nice job! How do you get the piping mounted? Do you cut off the flat part and glue just the rope? I can't see a raised area on either side.

do you mean the piping on the front between the colours? you have to route a channel and then press it in, it's different to speaker grill piping as it's just a round solid section of plastic, it should probably be called 'beading' or something like
